Description
Abstract
ABSTRACT: Seasonality has been a phenomenon widely discussed in the literature, especially from economistic approaches about its causes and consequences. In this sense, this article offers an alternative approach, based on the analysis of the influence of climate on the phenomenon of seasonal tourism in Mallorca. To do this, we have performed an analysis of climatetourism potential of the island, which allows us to observe that seasonality, unlike what has been justifying historically, it is rather a consequence of socio-economic factors that the climate itself.
