Abstract
Resumen: La literatura medieval francesa atesora multi-tud de géneros literarios breves. Desde el exem-plum, pasando por el lai, el dit y el fabliau para llegar a la nouvelle. El presente trabajo propo-ne en un primer momento una descripcion para cada uno de ellos, pues las fronteras entre los unos y los otros no están claramente delimi-tadas. En la segunda parte, se analiza, a partir de un corpus delimitado de textos, el espacio que estas formas literarias breves reservan a la mujer, cuál es la imagen que de ella transmiten y el papel que asume.
Abstract: French medieval literature treasures a multitu-de of short literary genres. From the exemplum, passing through the lai, the dit and the fabliauto reach the nouvelle. This paper initially pro-poses a description for each of them, since the borders between one and the other are not clearly delimited. In the second part, based on a delimited corpus of texts, the space that these brief literary forms reserve for women is analy-sed, the image they transmit of her and the role she assumes.
