resulta fundamental para conocer el mundo rural de
Ilici
y la conexión entre el final de
época romana y los inicios de la Edad Media en el Sureste de la península Ibérica
The Canyada Joana is a roman rural villa of territorium Ilici archaeological that has a well defined sequence between the second half of the second century A.D. and the sixth century A.D., pointing out its torcularium for oil production, at a large-scale and with all its elements well documented, dating from the IV-V centuries A.D. This villa is essential to know the rural world of Ilici and the connection between the end of the Roman period and the early Middle Age in the southeast of the Iberian peninsula
