La emisión de áureos y denarios de Q. Labieno (RRC 524/1-2) es la evidencia
numismática de la invasión parta encabezada por este “tránsfuga” durante el año 40 a.C. en Siria
y Anatolia, con una curiosa iconografía. Breve estudio de esta amonedación, así como de su
curiosa repercusión en las emisiones locales de Antioquía y Apamea.
The issue of aureii and denarii by Q. Labienus (RRC 524/1-2) is the numismatic evidence of the Parthian invasion led by this “turncoat” during the year 40 BC. in Syria and Anatolia, with a curious iconography. Brief study of this coinage, as well as its curious repercussion on the local issues of Antioch and Apamea.
