Le leitmotiv du voyage lotien chez Ventura García Calderón.

Abstract

La filiación entre Ventura García Calderón (1886-1959) y el escritor francés Pierre Loti (1850-1923) no es demasiado evidente a primera vista. El punto de encuentro entre ambos autores es el cuento Si Loti était venu de García Calderón publicado en Le Mercure de France el 15 de diciembre de 1925. Tal como indica su título, este relato pretende ser un homenaje a Pierre Loti. Queremos proponer, alrededor de varios ejes temáticos, un estudio comparativo entre el citado cuento de Ventura García Calderón y Aziyadé, novela inaugural del tema lotiano por antonomasia y fuente del trabajo literario realizado por el autor peruano. De esta manera, se cubrirá un vacío existente debido a la ausencia de estudios previos que analicen en profundidad el texto de García Calderón a la luz de la obra de Pierre Loti.

The connection between Ventura García Calderón (1886-1959) and the French writer Pierre Loti (1850-1923) is not too obvious at first glance. The link between both authors is Si Loti était venu published in Le Mercure de France on December 15, 1925. As its title suggests, this story is a tribute to Pierre Loti. The aim of this paper is to carry out a comparative study around different thematic axes between the work by Ventura García Calderón and Aziyadé, the inaugural text in Pierre Loti's main thematic strand and a primary source for the aforementioned Peruvian novelist. In this way, our purpose is to fill an existing gap due to the authors' lack of previous research into these connections.
