The tower of the Cathedral of Murcia, considered the most iconic architecture in the Region of Murcia after several centuries of construction, is presented as a reason for investigation, not because of its well-known heritage value and for which it has been written, but because of its role in the arts from the last third of the 19th century to the present. It is about positioning the tower, one of the first manifestations of the Renaissance on Spanish soil, in its rightful place from its aesthetic reinterpretations in the arts, a living and symbolic legacy that establishes a link with generations of artists, who maintain a constant idyll. and totally present, for which we analyze how it has become the most pictorially represented element in the city of Murcia. |
