El patrimonio industrial cinematográfico en Murcia (1896-2000) : cámaras y proyectores

Abstract

El objetivo principal de la presente Tesis Doctoral ha sido, por un lado, catalogar las cámaras y proyectores cinematográficos del término municipal de Murcia y, por otro, analizar la evolución de esta maquinaria a lo largo de la historia del cine, presentado especial atención a la empleada en el sector de la exhibición comercial en el municipio de Murcia y a la utilizada en realización por los cineastas amateur, semiprofesionales y profesionales dentro de este territorio. Para ello, la base metodológica que se ha tomado como punto de partida ha sido la localización e inventariado de estos aparatos realizando un trabajo de campo para, posteriormente, proceder a su catalogación. Las vicisitudes a las que han estado sometidos estos bienes culturales han llevado a la desaparición de buena parte de ellos. No obstante, nos queda una pequeña muestra, pero significativa, de la tecnología que se empleó durante los años que se utilizaron en el territorio murciano. En este sentido, la escasez de esta maquinaria queda corroborada desde el punto de vista cuantitativo en los 78 dispositivos que han sido catalogados. En este sentido, el modelo de catálogo propuesto ha sido diseñado para servir como punto de partida, no solo para ampliar y enriquecer el número de estos dispositivos en otros municipios de la Región de Murcia, sino para extrapolar el mismo a otros territorios e inventariar los que se conservan. En este sentido, el conocimiento es el punto de partida para concienciar sobre la necesidad de investigar, conservar y diseñar planes de actuación en torno a este patrimonio que, desafortunadamente, en la actualidad no goza del respaldo legal necesario para llevar a buen puerto medidas de protección y difusión en torno a estos bienes culturales.

The main objective of this Doctoral Thesis has been, on the one hand, to catalogue the film cameras and projectors in the municipality of Murcia and, on the other hand, to analyse the evolution of this machinery throughout the history of cinema, paying special attention to those used in the commercial exhibition sector in the municipality of Murcia and those used by amateur, semi-professional and professional filmmakers in this territory. To this end, the methodological basis taken as a starting point has been the location and inventory of these devices by carrying out fieldwork and then proceeding to catalogue them. The vicissitudes to which these cultural assets have been subjected have led to the disappearance of a good part of them. Nevertheless, we are left with a small but significant sample of the technology that was used during the years when they were in use in the Murcian territory. In this sense, the scarcity of this machinery is corroborated from a quantitative point of view in the 78 devices that have been catalogued. In this sense, the proposed catalogue model has been designed to serve as a starting point, not only to expand and enrich the number of these devices in other municipalities in the Region of Murcia, but also to extrapolate it to other territories and inventory those that are preserved. In this sense, knowledge is the starting point for raising awareness of the need to research, conserve and design action plans for this heritage which, unfortunately, does not currently enjoy the necessary legal backing to successfully implement measures for the protection and dissemination of these cultural assets.
