    The aim of this paper is to present the archaeological data that characterize the complex interactions between Late Iron Age and Roman societies and their territories in the southern Valencian regions. The various communities shaped their landscapes using complex techniques well-adapted to their environments, ranging from barriers to prevent torrential floods, marshland drainage to micro-irrigation systems for intensive agriculture.
