Mesa 6. Tradición en crisis.-El pensamiento político leibniziano en nuestros días

Abstract

Resumen: Este texto constituye una exposición de la filosofía política de G.W. Leibniz que pretende servir de paradigma en nuestra época contemporánea. Sus tesis políticas son tratadas en su mayor parte desde el punto de vista propio de un consejero de príncipes, básicamente de los diferentes príncipes que gobernaron en la ciudad alemana de Hannover. También, Leibniz estuvo al servicio del obispo de Maguncia, y estrechó relaciones con Pedro el Grande y la Reina de Prusia. En este sentido, es conveniente destacar que su enfoque está muy condicionado por la conciencia de las posibilidades inmanentes al poder político, en contraposición a autores contemporáneos como J. Locke o B. Spinoza, mucho más atentos a la seguridad y los derechos de los ciudadanos. Al plantear la creencia de Leibniz en la ratio comprobaremos que Leibniz fue un pensador que en la práctica asumió las posibilidades del poder de un modo excepcional para su época y que supo prever la relevancia y el papel que el Estado había de asumir en el s. XX/XXI. Para él el Estado no solamente debe mantener la paz y la justicia, sino contribuir de forma activa al bienestar general.

Abstract: This text constitutes an exhibition of the political philosophy of G.W. Leibniz that pretends to serve of paradigm in our contemporary period. His political theses are treated in his main part from the point of proper view of an adviser of princes, basically of the different princes that governed in the German city of Hannover. Also, Leibniz was to the service of the bishop of Maguncia, and tightened relations with Pedro the Big and the King of Prusia. In this sense, is convenient to highlight that his approach is very conditioned by the conscience of the possibilities immanents to the political power, on the contrary to contemporary authors like J. Locke or B. Spinoza, much more attentive to the security and the rights of the citizens. When posing the belief of Leibniz in the ratio will check that Leibniz was a philosopher that in the practice assumed the possibilities of the power of an exceptional way for his period and that knew to foresee the importance and the paper that the State had to assume in the s. XX/XXI. For Leibniz the State not only has to maintain the peace and the justice, but contribute of active form to the general welfare.
