Eje temático 5.- Insurgencia artística y nuevas formas de construcción política del sujeto en Cuba. Dos experiencias recientes de intervención política: la jornada Primavera Libertaria y el Instituto Hannah Arendt

Abstract

RESUMEN En los últimos años se ha instalado en Cuba un discurso ambiguo sobre “los nuevos tiempos” que vive la Isla. ¿Qué significa el adjetivo “nuevo” y a qué escenarios realmente alude? En realidad, “nuevos tiempos” no es más que una metáfora que insinúa las contradicciones que atraviesan hoy al país y al proyecto de nación que sostenemos. “Nuevos tie mpos” pretende asir un conjunto de transformaciones sociopolíticas de diversas índoles y facetas bajo una sola idea. Así, aparecen discursos de un sesgo nostálgico y melancólico, que expresan “lo que estamos dejando atrás”, el abandono de una tradición y p ráctica fidelista; discursos marcados por una ideología liberal que previenen el resurgimiento de una Cuba capitalista; discursos de una matriz profundamente estadocéntrica que sostienen la necesidad de cambios, pero la persistencia de una dirigencia que controla los cuerpos, las palabras, las disidencias, los tiempos y espacios de la vida en Cuba. A la par de estos discursos, aunque invisibilizados por las dinámicas del poder hegemónico, hacen presencia también otros discursos que dejan entrever la pluralidad de sujetos que intervienen hoy en el campo sociocultural y político de la Isla. Es en el contexto de un cambio político, que tiene en la muerte biológica de Fidel Castro el pasado 25 de noviembre del 2016 la reafirmación de la extinción política y simbólica del proyecto de nación socialista cubano, donde queremos enmarcar la reflexión sobre las posibilidades que abre el arte para pensar otras formas de construcción política del sujeto y la vida en Cuba. Teniendo en cuenta que el diseño institucional de la participación en Cuba reconoce los derechos individuales de participación, pero no considera políticas sociales que lo garanticen ni estipula el marco jurídico que avale este derecho, controle y vele por la constitucionalidad; la mera aparición en el espacio público se convierte en un hecho político significativo, más allá del contenido de las propias demandas. Pretendemos reflexionar sobre la experiencia de dos proyectos de activismo artístico en Cuba en el lapso 2014 2017, que tienen como eje de su trabajo la construcción y gestión de ciudadanía: Jornada Primavera Libertaria e Instituto de Artivismo Hannah Arendt. El valor de estos proyectos está en las apuestas que hacen para abrir nuevas posibilidades de ser y participar de la construcción social y política de la vida en Cuba, a partir del desafío de nuestros mapas imaginarios y de las narrativas a través de las cuales entendemos y encarnamos nuestra presencia política.

ABSTRACT During the last years an ambiguous discourse has installed in Cuba about the “new times” the island is living. What does the adjective “new” mean and which scenarios is it really refering to? Actually, “New times”, is nothing more than a metaphor that insinuates the contradictions the country is going through and the national proyect that we sustain. “New times” aims to grasp a series of sociopolitical transformations of diverse nature and facets under only one idea. This way, discourses of a nostalgic and melancolic slant appear, which express “what is being left behind”, the abandonment of Fidel´s (Castro) traditions and ways; discourses marked by a liberal ideology that come from the resurgence of a capitalist Cuba; discourses of a profound state centered foun dation that holds the need for change, but the persistence of a leadership that controls bodies, words, dissidence, times and spaces of life in Cuba. On pace with these discourses, even though shadowed by the hegemonic power dynamics, other discourses that let plularilty of subjects intervening on today´s sociocultural and political field of the island be seen, make their presence feel. It’s in this context of political change, which finds on Fidel Castro´s biological death on november 26th 2016 the reaffirmation of the politic and symbolic extinction of the cuban socialist nation proyect, where we want to frame the reflection about the possibilities that art opens for other forms of political construction of the subject and life in Cuba. Bearing in mind tha t the institutional design of participation in Cuba acknowledges individual rights of participation, but does not consider social policies that grant it, neither stipulate a legal framework that backs this right, controls and ensures constitutionality; the mere presence on public space turns it into a significant political action, further beyond the content of its demands. We aim to reflect about the experience of two artistic activism proyects in Cuba during the lapse of 2014 2017, which have construction and management of citizenship as a focal point of the proyect: Jornada Primavera Libertaria and Instituto de Artivismo Hannah Arendt. The value of these proyects reside on the focus they put on opening new possibilities of being and participating on the social and political construction of life in Cuba, starting from the challenge of our imaginary maps and the narratives from which we understand and embody our political presence.
