Abstract

RESUMEN Transbutch. Luchas fronterizas de género entre el arte y la política es un proyecto de investigación que comenzó en 2008 mientras participábamos en el Programa de Estudios Independientes del Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona y en el que desarrollamos colectivamente una extensa investigación sobre la historia del arte feminista y la historia de los movimientos de liberación sexual que habían sucedido a lo largo del siglo XX en España. A partir de ese momento comenzamos una investigación con la que pretendíamos averiguar qué lugar ocupaba la lesbiana masculina y el trans masculino en la historia de nuestros feminismos, en sus archivos más conmemorativos, y porqué estos fenómenos carecen de representaciones. Esta investigación tiene tres objetivos fundamentales. En primer lugar, realizar un archivo de los movimientos sociales y las prácticas artísticas que han abordado las cuestiones de género en el contexto español desde una perspectiva queer y transfeminista. En segundo lugar, subvertir la propia lógica del archivo utilizando herramientas deconstructivas y metodologías queer. En tercer lugar, realizar un estudio sobre las masculinidades transgresoras producidas por aquellos sujetos con aspecto masculino que fueron asignados “mujer” al nacer. La metodología está basada en el método de investigación que Jack Halberstam denominó metodologías queer; metodologías flexibles, transgenéricas, interseccionales e íntimas, a través de las cuales hemos intentado combinar estudios histó ricos, análisis sociológicos, referencias de las teorías y las prácticas transfeministas y queer, investigación de archivos, producción de taxonomías, análisis audiovisual, etnografía, estudios de caso y observación participante, con la intención de explorar la estrecha relación entre las prácticas políticas y artísticas. La investigación comenzó con la creación de un contra archivo online con el que dotar de un contexto a aquellos sujetos que despliegan diferentes formas de masculinidad, elaborando un marco histórico general sobre los movimientos político artísticos del contexto español de los últimos cuarenta años, y en el que confluyen tres historias diferentes que han sido invisibilizadas por la historia hegemónica: la historia del movimiento feminista, la historia del movimiento de le sbianas y la historia del movimiento trans. Para la elaboración del archivo escogimos un sistema rizomático que hemos trasladado a la propia estructura de la investigación y que hemos presentado en forma de siete genealogías interconectadas entre sí. Archivo T1 (http://archivo t.net) es un archivo político artístico transfeminista del contexto español. Un proyecto interactivo online que relaciona el contenido propio de la investigación, la herramienta ontológica del archivo y los cuerpos que despliegan estas practicas tecnológicas en el territorio. Un laboratorio experimental donde podemos comenzar a retorcer las herramientas ontológicas del saber oficial en el encuentro con saberes que desestabilizan los planteamientos binarios de género y podemos hackear el archivo a través de herramientas deconstructivas como la parodia o el travestismo.

ABSTRACT Transbutch. Gender fight borders between arts and politics is a research project that began in 2008 while we participated in the Independent Studies Program of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona and in which we collectively developed an extensive study on the history of feminist art and the history of the sexual liberation movements which took place in Spain throughout the 20th century. Sinces then, we began a research by ourselves wich pretended to find out the place taken up by Butches and Trans man in the history of our own feminisms, in their most commemorative archives and the reason why these phenomena lack of representation. This research has three essential goals. In the first place, designing an archive of social movements and artistic practices which hace discussed gender issues in the Spanish context from a queer and tra nsfemninist perspective. Secondly, overthrowing the archive’s logic using deconstructive tools and queer methodologies. Lastly, making a study about transgressive masculinities produced by those male looking individuals who were assigned "woman" at birth. The methodology is based on Jack halbertam’s research methods, known as queer methodologies, flexible, transgeneric, intersectional and intimate methodologies. Through these we have tried to combine historical studies, sociological analysis, references of transfeminist and queer theories and practices, archival research, taxonomy production, audiovisual analysis, ethnography, case studies and participant observation, intending to explore the narrow relationship between political and artistic practices. The investigation began with the creation of an online anti archive with which we manage to give a context to those individuals who show different forms of masculinity, elaborating a general historical framework regarding with the political artistic movements of spanish context for the last 40 years. In these historical framework three different stories, in which invisibility produced by hegemonic history, converge: history of feminist movement, history of lesbian movement and history of the trans movement. For the archive’s elaboration we chose a rhizomatic system which has been transferred to the investigation’s structure and presented as seven genealogies interconnected with each other. Archive T (http://archivo t.net) is a politically artistic transfeminist archive of the Spanish context, an interactive online project that relates the own research's content, the ontological tool of the archive and the bodies that display these technological practices in the territory. An experimental laboratory where we can begin to twist the ontological tools of official knowledge in the encounter with other knowledge that destabilizes the binary approaches of gender and we can hack the archive through deconstructive tools like parody or transvestism.
