El desplazamiento de los refugiados ante las cámaras de los informativos de TVE

Abstract

Esta investigación aborda el tratamiento audiovisual de las noticias emitidas por los in formativos de la televisión pública española TVE sobre el movimiento de los refugiados en territorio español. Bajo la perspectiva de la Agenda Setting y la Teoría del Framing, sobre las que se asume que los conten idos audiovisuales informativos no sólo det erminan la agenda pública, sino también la forma en la que se piensa sobre una actualidad concreta, se h an analizado 282 fragmentos informativos entre enero de 2015 y junio de 2017. El criterio de búsqueda de estos fragmentos viene determinado por los sigu ientes términos: refugiado, refugiada, refugiados, refugiadas. Las variables consideradas sobre la imagen de los refugiados, los encuadres noticiosos, el carácter evaluativo de la noticia y las im ágenes que aparecen en pantalla se han sometido a un proceso de intercodificadores externos para asegurar la fiabilidad de la fase de codificación. El patrón de resultados obtenidos a través de distintos modelos estadísticos y de análisis del discurso con una aproximación multimodal describirá el tratamiento inform ativo y los encuadres dominantes que TVE otorga a las personas refugiadas en España, y en definitiva una aproximación al juicio social e impacto cognitivo de la audiencia.

This research deals with the manner of the audio visual style within current affairs programmes broadcasted by the news media on the Spanish public television TVE, when specifically dealing with the reporting of refugee movement in Spain. Ba sed on Setting Agenda and the Framing Theory, about which it is assumed that its audio visual contents not only determine the public agenda but the form in which a concrete reality is proposed,282 news fragments have been analysed from January of 2015 to J une of 2017. The search criteria of these fragments is to be determined through the following terms: refugee (m), refugee (f), refugees (m.pl) and refugees (f.pl). The variables under consideration about the images of refugees, new frames, the evaluative c haracter of the news and the images that appear on the screen have been scrutinised by a process of external intercodes to ensure the reliance of the coding phase. The pattern obtained through the different statistical models and the discourse analysis wit h a multimodal approach, will describe the news treatment and the predominant frameworks that TVE give to refugees in Spain, approach to the social judgment and the cognitive impact on the audience.
