Las transformaciones de época agustea en el Mons Aesculapii: contextos cerámicos relacionados con las construcción de la cavea del teatro y sus accesos perimetrales

Abstract

Con la construcción del edificio de espectáculos en el último cuarto del siglo I a.C., se materializa una profunda transformación urbana de la ladera, que se manifiesta de forma directa con la amortización del área residencial pretérita, pero también mediante cambios en el trazado más próximo de la muralla, así como en la amortización del área sacra ubicada en la parte superior de la ladera. Los contextos estratigráficos relacionados con estas amortizaciones y la construcción del edificio de espectáculos, nos ofrecen una excelente oportunidad de analizar la dinámica comercial de la ciudad en esos momentos finales del siglo I a.C.

With the construction of the performing arts building in the last quarter of the first century BC, a major urban transformation of the slope began to take shape, manifested directly by the degradation of the old residential area, but also by changes in the delineation closest to the wall, as well as the degradation of the sacral area located at the top of the slope. The stratigraphic contexts related to this degradation and the construction of the performing arts building provide an excellent opportunity to analyze the commercial dynamics of the city in those final moments of the first century BC.
