Requerimientos y acciones a desplegar para convertir un lugar en un destino de preferencia del turismo de eventos e incentivos

Abstract

El presente trabajo contiene un análisis y los pasos recomendados a dar para convertir un lugar en un destino profesional para el turismo de eventos e incentivos como parte del desarrollo turístico de un país o una región. En este sentido, se reitera la necesidad de certificar desde los inicios, una adecuada imagen profesional de destino basado en las buenas prácticas, la rigurosa aplicación de la ética y la honestidad en las relaciones con los potenciales clientes.Para explicar las razones por las cuales es conveniente aventurarse en este camino, se resumen los aspectos más importantes de los eventos y los incentivos para el turismo y la necesidad el cumplimiento de todos los requerimientos que se derivan, en primer lugar la formación profesional que se requiere, para contar con la fuerza técnica que exige esta modalidad turística, en particular los Organizadores Profesionales de Congresos. Como el trabajo se concretó en una conferencia impartida en un evento dedicado a las Ciudades del Mar en Gibara, Norte de l a provincia oriental cubana de Holguín, el se dedicó a una ciudad del litoral, pero se aclara que las acciones y las recomendaciones que se hacen son aplicables a cualquier otra localidad, independientemente que no se encuentren en un litoral, señalando los elementos a poner en práctica para el diseño de esa estrategia que abre las puertas a una explotación más intensa, equilibrada, lineal, diversa y racional de las bondades turísticas y los recursos turísticos de dicho des tino.

ABSTRACT: The present work containsan anal ysis and the steps recommended to gi ve to transfor m a place into a professional destination for the tourism of events and incentives like part of the tourist development of a countr y or a regi on. In this sense, the necessity is reiterated of certif ying from the beginnings, an appropriate professional i mage of destinat ion based on the good ones practical, the r igorous application of the ethics and t he honest y in the relationships with the potential clients. To explain the reasons for which is convenient to venture in this road, summar y the aspects but important of the events and the incentives for the tour ism and the necessit y the execution of all the requirements that you/they are deri ved, in the first place the professional formation that is required, to have the technical for ce that demands this tourist modalit y, in particular the Professional Or gani zers of Congresses. As the i mparted conf erence it was in an event dedicated to the Cities of the Sea in Gibara, North of the Cuban oriental county of Hol guín, the wor k was dedicated to a city of the coast but he/s he clears up that the act ions and the recommendations that are made are applicable to any other town independently are not in a coas t, pointing out the elements to put in he/she practices for the desi gn of that strategy that he/she opens the doors to an exploitation but intense, balanced, lineal, diverse and rational of the tourist kindness and the tourist resources of this destination.
