El microrrelato: de lo proteico a la identidad de género

Abstract

El estudio del microrrelato dirigido a determinar su poligénesis ocupa actualmente un lugar privilegiado en los estudios de teoría y análisis literario. La expansión del género tiene su razón de ser en sus características discursivas, formales, temáticas y pragmáticas, las cuales favorecen su carácter proteico. Extrema brevedad y narratividad son rasgos sin equa non del microrrelato, sin embargo, la fusión y mezcla de este con otros géneros; y las concomitancias de semejanza y proximidad entre el microrrelato y otras modalidades textuales provocan desconcierto a la hora de categorizarlo como género autónomo respecto al cuento. Consecuencia de la hibridación del microrrelato con composiciones narrativas, didáctico-ensayísticas, periodísticas, poéticas, dramáticas, y de las incipientes fórmulas y soportes literarios enmarcados en la posmodernidad, emergen textos cuyas fronteras genéricas se desdibujan. En algunos casos estos textos se postulan como los ascendientes directos del microrrelato; en otros, se plantea una catalogación según su origen: microrrelatos mitológicos, legendarios, parabólicos…, que guardan una estrecha relación con el concepto de intertextualidad; y, por último, en ocasiones, los textos clásicos cambian conscientemente su etiqueta de poesía en prosa, artículo periodístico o cuento por la de microrrelato al contextualizarlos en la posmodernidad. Describir, examinar y analizarlas relaciones de estos textos hiperbreves con otras modalidades literarias revela que el microrrelato posee un estatuto genérico propio entre cuyas características figura una marcada tendencia a la hibridación

The study of the micro - story aimed at determining its polygenesis currently occupies a privileged place in the studies of theory and literary analysis. The expansion of the genre has its reason for being in its discursive, formal, thematic and pragmatic characteristics, which favor its protean character. Extreme brevity and narrativity are features sine equanon of the micro story, however, the fusion and mixing of this with o ther genres; and the concomitances of similarity and proximity between the micro - story and other textual modalities cause confusion when categorizing it as an autonomous genre with respect to the story. As a consequence of the hybridization of the micro - n arrative with narrative, didactic - essayistic, journalistic, poetic, dramatic compositions, and of the incipient formulas and literary supports framed in postmodernity, texts whose generic boundaries are blurred appear. In some cases these texts are postula ted as the direct ascendants of the micro - story; in others, a cataloging according to its originis proposed: mythological, legendary, parabolic micro - stories, which are closely related to the concept of intertextuality; and, finally, at times, the classic texts consciously change theirl abel of poetry in prose, journalistic article or short story to that of micro fiction when contextualizing them in postmodernity.
