Sobre aniversarios, dictadura y editoriales de La Nación : de la reivindicación abstracta a la agenda gubernamental

Abstract

Cada 24 de marzo se recuerda en Argentina un nuevo aniversario del comienzo de la última dictadura cívico-militar, que implicó no sólo una nueva ruptura en el orden institucional1 del país, sino que también la puesta en marcha de un plan sistemático de persecución, tortura y exterminio de una parte importante de la población, cuyos resultados son considerados como un genocidio por muchos autores (Feierstein, 2012). En este trabajo nos interesa abordar, desde la Lingüística Crítica (Hodge y Kress, 1993), cómo presenta este aniversario un periódico vinculado política e ideológicamente a la derecha tradicional del país: el diario La Nación. Más específicamente, nos interesan sus columnas editoriales del 24 de marzo de los años 2016 y 2017. Motiva esta elección la necesidad de analizar la puesta en circulación de algunos sentidos o valoraciones opuestas a las que circularon durante el ciclo kirchnerista2 y, al mismo tiempo, la evaluación negativa de lo que se realizó en dicho período en materia de derechos humanos.

On anniversaries, dictatorship and editorials: from the abstract vindication to the governmental agenda. Every 24 March, a new anniversary of the beginning of the last civil-military dictatorship is remembered in Argentina, which implied not only a new breakdown in the institutional order3 in the country, but also the implementation of a systematic plan of persecution, torture and extermination of an important part of the population, whose results are considered as genocide by many authors (Feierstein, 2012). In this work we are interested in broaching, from de Critical Linguistic (Hodge & Kress, 1993), how this anniversary is presented in a newspaper politically and ideologically linked to the traditional right wind of the country: the newspaper La Nación. More specifically, we analyze its editorial columns of March 24 in 2016 and 2017. This decision is motivated by the need to analyze the putting into circulation of some senses or appraisals opposed to those that circulated during the Kirchnerist cycle4 and, at the same time, the negative evaluation of what was done in the aforementioned period in matters of human rights.
