Más allá de la hipótesis hiperbólica: soberanía, ciudadanía e infrapolítica

Abstract

El retorno al concepto del sujeto y sus “servicios”, como decía Louis Althusser, ha tenido importantes consecuencias para el pensamie nto contemporáneo. En primer lugar, el libro de Etienne Balibar Sujeto - ciudadano , que reúne ensayos del autor desde la década de los 90’ hasta el día de hoy, ha avanzado una reposición de la noción de sujeto. El pensamiento de Jacques Lacan y Martin Heideg ger sirven, en este punto, para revisar este retorno. Por otra parte, la noción althusseriana de interpelación debería ser retomada para pensar cómo el ser - sujeto es siempre un registro de identificación (narcisista, en términos lacanianos) que pertenece a la época, en este caso, del capital. En este punto la deconstrucción operada por Jacques Derrida sobre la relación entre soberanía, crueldad, y posicionalidad es importante para “cualificar” al sujeto moderno antes de retomarlo ahí donde nos ofrece sus “s ervicios”. Con ello, se podría pensar en una ciudadanía no atada a la soberanía y por tanto, a distancia del principio hegemónico que intercambia la ley con su hipérbole y el estado con su excepción.

The return to the concept of subject and its "services", as Louis Althusser used to say, has had important consequences in contemporary thought. Etienne Balibar ’s book Citizen - Subject , for instance, brings together the author’s essays from the 1990's until today, rehearsing the reuse of the notion of the subject. The thought of Jacques Lacan and Martin Heidegger serve, in this regard, to review the return of the subject in contemporary debate. On the other hand, the Althusserian notion of interpellation should be taken up again to reflect upon how the being - subject is always a form of “narcissistic” (in the Lacanian sense) identification that belongs to the epoch of capital. In this point, the deconstruction elaborated by Jacques Derrida on the relationship between sovereignty, cruelty and positionality, is crucial for re - qualifying the modern subject before reassuming it. Following this analysis, one could think a bout a form of citizenship not tied to sovereignty and, therefore, distant from the hegemonic principle that exchanges the law with its hyperbole and the state with its exception.
