Sujetos colectivos y movilización política en el espacio público: hacia el saber de la multitud

Abstract

En los últimos veinte años en América Latina se constata la llegada al gobierno de algunos países de corrientes políticas que se autodefinen como progresistas. Este acontecimiento histórico revitalizó el debate en relación a la viabilidad, pertinencia y características que debería asumir en el siglo XXI el Estado de Bienestar. En este contexto, el presente artículo se interesa por prácticas sociales emergentes que resignifican los sentidos que tiene el espacio público. Prácticas que van más allá de los Estados Nacionales, que se sitúan en una territorialidad global, que articulan lenguajes, que suscitan emociones, capaces de producir nuevas socialidades. Se discute acerca de la multitud como sujeto social capaz de generar prácticas transformadoras. Específicamente se analiza cómo las singularidades de las ocupaciones plantean nuevas interrogantes a los Estados nacionales. Se utiliza para el análisis las acampadas en las plazas por movimientos globales como #Occupy.

In the last twenty years in Latin America, the arrival of the government of some countries of political currents that define themselves as progressive is verified. This historical event revitalized the debate regarding the viability, pertinence, and characteristics that the welfare state should assume in the twenty-first century. In this context, the present article is interested in emerging social practices that redefine the senses that the public space has. Practices that go beyond the National States that are situated in global territoriality, that articulate languages, that excite emotions, able to produce new socialities. The multitude is discussed as a social subject capable of generating transformative practices. Specifically, it analyzes how the singularities of occupations raise further questions for nation states. It is used for the analysis the encamped in the squares by global movements like #Occupy.
