La influencia de los materiales manipulativos durante el proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje en segundo ciclo de educación infantil

Abstract

La tesis doctoral titulada “La influencia de los materiales manipulativos durante el proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje en segundo ciclo de educación infantil”, se presenta como tesis por compendio de publicaciones con la finalidad de analizar el papel que juegan los recursos materiales en la etapa de educación infantil. La finalidad de esta tesis se centra en el conocimiento de la influencia de los materiales manipulativos en el proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje en los niños que cursan segundo ciclo de educación infantil, con el propósito de destacar y de dar a conocer la importancia que tiene la utilización de recursos materiales en el desarrollo global de los educandos. A raíz de este estudio, los docentes podrán reflexionar acerca del uso que realizan de los materiales en el aula, y comprobar si la selección y estructuración que llevan a cabo según las características y necesidades de sus alumnos son coherentes. En definitiva, proporcionar a la comunidad educativa un documento que pueda servir de vademécum en relación a los recursos materiales en educación infantil. A través de una exhaustiva revisión bibliométrica en bases nacionales e internacionales de reconocido prestigio, se ha obtenido toda la información y conocimiento pertinente para la elaboración de esta investigación. Por tanto, el objetivo general de esta investigación es conocer la influencia que tienen los materiales manipulativos en el proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje en el segundo ciclo de educación infantil, mediante una exhaustiva búsqueda de fuentes bibliográficas de reconocido prestigio nacional e internacional. A raíz de este objetivo general, surgen los siguientes objetivos específicos que complementan el objeto de estudio: 1. Objetivo específico 1: Conocer y analizar los materiales que se utilizan en el proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje en el segundo ciclo de educación infantil. 2. Objetivo específico 2: Analizar la influencia de los materiales manipulativos en la adquisición de los aprendizajes en los alumnos del segundo ciclo de educación infantil. 3. Objetivo específico 3: Describir la selección y clasificación de los materiales por el docente en el segundo ciclo de educación infantil. A lo largo de toda la investigación se ha indagado sobre la influencia que tiene la selección y utilización de materiales de índole manipulativa en la adquisición de los aprendizajes en el segundo ciclo de educación infantil, siendo estos uno de los principales recursos educativos para el desarrollo en todas las dimensiones del alumno. También se ha realizado un análisis sobre qué materiales son los más utilizados por maestros y educadores de educación infantil y sobre el papel que realizan estos en la consecución de los objetivos generales del segundo ciclo de educación infantil. Por último, se ha llevado a cabo una reflexión sobre la selección de los materiales a utilizar con los infantes optando, principalmente, por aquellos materiales que fomentan el descubrimiento, la exploración y la investigación, a través de la manipulación, el tacto y el manoseo, con la finalidad alcanzar con mayor garantía los fines educativos.

ABSTRACT DOCTORAL THESIS The doctoral thesis entitled "The influence of manipulative materials during the teaching / learning process in the second cycle of early childhood education" is presented as a thesis by compendium of publications in order to analyze the role of material resources in this stage of childhood education. The purpose of this thesis focuses on the knowledge of the influence of manipulative materials in the teaching / learning process in children who attend the second cycle of early childhood education, with the purpose of highlighting and making known the importance of the use of material resources in the overall development of learners. As a result of this study, teachers will be able to reflect on their use of materials in the classroom, and check if the selection and structuring that they carry out according to the characteristics and needs of their students are consistent. In short, to provide the educational community with a document that can serve as a vademecum in relation to material resources in early childhood education. Through an exhaustive bibliometric review of national and international bases of recognized prestige, all relevant information and knowledge for the elaboration of this research has been obtained. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to acquire knowledge regarding the influence of manipulative materials in the teaching / learning process in the second cycle of early childhood education, through an exhaustive search of bibliographical sources of recognized national and international prestige. As a result of this general objective, the following specific objectives complement the object of study: 1. Specific objective 1: To know and analyze the materials used in the teaching / learning process in the second cycle of early childhood education. 2. Specific objective 2: To analyze the influence of manipulative materials in the acquisition of learning for students in the second cycle of early childhood education. 3. Specific objective 3: Describe the selection and classification of materials by the teacher in the second cycle of early childhood education. Throughout the research, the influence of the selection and use of materials of a manipulative nature in the acquisition of learning in the second cycle of early childhood educationhas been investigated, these being some of the main educational resources for the development in All dimensions of the student. An analysis has also been made of what materials are most used by teachers and educators of children and the role they play in achieving the general objectives of the second cycle of early childhood education. Finally, it is necessary to make a reflection on the selection of materials to be used with infants, opting mainly for those materials that encourage discovery, exploration and research, through manipulation, touch and handling, with the purpose of reaching the educational aimswith better guarantee.
