Autocrítica de la razón utópica. Por un marxismo de la contingencia

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo es evaluar en qué sentido se puede decir que el marxismo tiene una dimensión utópica y abogar por un marxismo de la contingencia abierto a la novedad y no determinista de manera rígida. Aunque los tiempos de las grandes utopías ya han pasado, quizás el socialismo fue la última gran utopía, se puede plantear que sí haya lugar para pequeñas utopías ligadas al surgimiento de nuevas singularidades, nuevas subjetividades y nuevas objetividades en lo social y hace falta una cierta tensión del pensamiento, que quizás ya no se pueda seguir llamando utópica por no tener ese carácter global y perfecto de las grandes utopías, que se niegue a considerar el futuro como una mera repetición del presente.

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to assess in which sense it is possible to say that Marxism has an utopian dimension and to foster a Marxism of the contingency open to the new as well as indeterminist. The time of big utopias is over; Socialism was one of the last big utopias. Nevertheless it is thinkable to rescue the value of small utopias linked to the emergence of new singularities, new subjectivities and new objectivities in the social arena. In sum, we need a certain kind of utopian tension —nothing to do with the global and perfect character of big utopias—, when we think the social if we do not accept to consider future as a mere repetition of present.
