El agua como recurso identitario: "El otro" castellano-manchego y el estigma del trasvase Tajo-Segura

Abstract

La configuración del Estado de las Autonomías trajo consigo, entre otras muchas cosas, una movilización política, propiciada desde los nuevos centros de poder, con la finalidad de implantar el discurso de la identidad en las recién creadas regiones. En Castilla-La Mancha se eligió el diacrítico «agua» como eje vertebrador de un Nosotros, casi inexistente hasta hace unos pocos años, y se buscó en los territorios del Levante ese Otro tan imprescindible para generar el infierno de las identidades.

The confi guration of the State of the Autonomies brought, within many other matters, a political mobilization, promoted by the new center of power, with the purpose of implanting the discourse of the identity of the newly created regions. In Castilla-La Mancha the diacritical mark «Water» was chosen as the axis of «We», almost non-existent till a few years ago, and looked for in the Eastern region that «Otro» so indispensable to generate the inferno of the identities.
