Estudio de una cohorte de pacientes con trombosis de vena retiniana

Abstract

Objetivos: analizar la eficacia de una serie de pruebas complementarias realizadas en pacientes con TVR, comparando nuestros resultados con los de la literatura y con un grupo control. Material y Métodos: se han estudiado a 50 pacientes con TVR y 50 pacientes control. Al grupo TVR se les realizó historia clínica exhaustiva, analítica completa, anticuerpos antifosfolípidos (AAF), electrocardiograma (ECG) y ecografía de troncos supraaórticos (TSA). A los controles se les realizó el mismo estudio excepto AAF, homocisteína, dimero D (DD) y ecografía TSA. Resultados: sólo encontramos diferencias significativas respecto a los controles en la cifra de colesterol, hemoglobina y fibrinógeno. Conclusiones: hemos encontrado una asociación con las variables ligadas a la dislipemia, viscosidad sanguínea, y a la diabetes mellitus. El ECG, la ecografía TSA, los niveles de homocisteína, DD, y de AAF carecen de utilidad en estos pacientes.

Study of a Cohort of Patients with Retinal Vein Thrombosis (TVR)

Objectives: to analyze the effectiveness of a few complementary tests made in patients with TVR, comparing our results with those of Literature and with a control group. Material and Methods: a total of 50 patients with TVR were studied and 50 control patients. We made to the TVR patients exhaustive clinical history, complete analytical study, antibodies antiphospholipids (AAF), electrocardiogram (ECG) and ultrasonography of supraaortic trunks (TSA). We made the same study to the control group except AAF, homocysteine, D Dimer (DD) and ultrasonography TSA. Results: we only found significant differences with respect to the controls in the level of cholesterol, hemoglobin and fibrinogen. Conclusions: we have found an association with the variables related to dyslipemia, sanguineous viscosity, and to the diabetes mellitus. The ECG, ultrasounds TSA, the levels of homocistein, DD, and AAF lack utility in these patients.
