Variabilidad genética, análisis molecular y filogenia de poblaciones ibéricas y canarias de Apis mellifera (Linneo 1758) (Hymenoptera: Apidae)

Abstract

El objetivo principal del trabajo es caracterizar al nivel molecular la variabilidad poblacional de la abeja doméstica, Apis mellifera Linneo, 1758, corroborando de esta manera varias hipótesis de trabajo. Una de ellas se refiere a la estructura poblacional de las abejas en la Región de Murcia y al efecto racial que se deriva de la importación de reinas y del proceso de la trashumancia de las colmenas. Otra hipótesis se refiere a la singularidad de las abejas de las Islas Canarias, cuyos … [+]antecesores se sitúan en el norte de África (poblamiento antiguo de las islas por causas naturales) o en la Península Ibérica (poblamiento antrópico a partir del siglo XVI). Se trata de determinar si existe una raza peculiar de estas islas y sus posibles ancestros.The main objective of this thesis is to characterise at the molecular level, the population variability of Apis mellifera Linné, 1758, and to corroborate in this way several hypotheses. One of them is related with the structure of the honeybee populations from Murcia and the racial effect derived from the queen importation and the migrating movements.
