Canciones españolas para voz y piano sobre textos de Lope de Vega: catalogación, estudio y propuesta de interpretación

Abstract

La presente tesis se desarrolla con el objetivo de investigar el repertorio para voz y piano escrito por compositores españoles a partir de poesías de Lope de Vega. Las 109 obras localizadas se referencian en un catálogo detallado a partir del cual se estudian las implicaciones históricas, musicales y literarias que están en el trasfondo de las canciones y sus autores. La particularidad de las 28 obras compuestas en 1935, año de la celebración del III centenario de la muerte del compositor, motivan un estudio profundo y particular de cada una de ellas, desde la óptica musical, literaria y de la praxis musical, destinado a la elaboración de una edición crítica de las respectivas partituras y a su posterior interpretación musical por el autor de la tesis.

Abstract The thesis that follows is developed with the goal of researching the voice and piano repertoire which was written by Spanish composers inspired by Lope de Vega’s poetry. 109 referenced pieces have been discovered in a detailed catalogue from which the historic, musical and literary implications are studied in line with the background of the songs and the authors. The peculiarity of the 28 songs composed in 1935, year when the third century of the composer’s death was celebrated, motivated an exhaustive and particular study of each one, from the musical and literary point of view, and moreover, from their musical praxis focal point, culminating with the elaboration of a critique edition of the scores and the posterior musical performance by the author of the thesis.
