Abordaje del cuidado neonatal: un enfoque transcultural

Abstract

El cuidado del neonato desde la perspectiva transcultural se constituye en un reto que pretende traer a escena diferentes significados en la concepción del quehacer para mantener, proteger y fortalecer la vida del niño. El conocer las prácticas y creencias permite identificar y significar las prácticas que suelen pensarse como tradiciones retrógradas comparadas con el avance técnico científico al establecer un puente de comunicación entre los cuidados propios que tienen las personas y el conocimiento técnico científico que se tiene a través del cuidado de enfermería. El presente artículo se plantea como objetivo: Representar el cuidado Neonatal desde diferentes enfoques transculturales que le permitan a la enfermera dar herramientas constructivas a la familia respetando creencias culturales de cada núcleo familiar. Cabe destacar, que la metodología utilizada para el desarrollo de este articulo fue el bibliográfico. Por lo tanto, la construcción de conocimientos que se disponen se fundamenta en los principios de la teoría de Leininger, que acepta la Enfermería como un fenómeno transcultural, cuyo fin es conducir a las personas en diversas orientaciones culturales y estilos de vida específicos, con el objetivo de ofrecer un cuidado que sea acorde con la cultura. Para promover la salud de los neonatos, es importante reconocer la dimensión cultural, en la cual hay oportunidades y amenazas; las primeras se pueden preservar, así como es posible negociar o reestructurar las últimas. Esta interacción, sin duda, se facilitará en la medida en que la enfermera(o), tenga un conocimiento profundo de ese saber cultural y propio de cada familia y de esta manera pueda compararlas, pues se encuentran elementos comunes y diversos que propician un cuidado humano y universal, con el respeto a las diferencias y especificidades derivadas de la heterogeneidad de las familias y su entorno cultural.

ABSTRACT The care of the newborn from a transcultural perspective, it becomes a challenge that aims to bring different meanings to the stage in the conception of work to maintain, protect and strengthen the child's life. Knowing the beliefs and practices allows for identifying and using practices usually seen as out of date traditions compared with scientific advances. This establishes a bridge of communication between the care that people give themselves and the scientific expertise that is realized through careful nursing. This article is intended to: Represent Neonatal care from different transcultural approaches that enable the nurse to give constructive tools to the family while respecting cultural beliefs of each nuclear family. Importantly, the methodology for the development of this article was the bibliography. Therefore, the construction of knowledge that is available is based on the principles of Leininger's theory, which accepts nursing as a transcultural phenomenon, whose purpose is to lead people of different cultural orientations and specific lifestyles, with the objective of providing care that is appropriate to the culture. To promote the health of neonatals, it is important to recognize the cultural dimension. In which there are opportunities and threats, the first can be preserved, and it is possible to negotiate or restructure the latter. This interaction will undoubtedly be facilitated to the extent that the nurse has a thorough knowledge of the unique culture of each family and in this way can make comparisons. Common and diverse elements are found, which provide a human universal care with respect to the differences and specific needs of the heterogeneous nature of the families and their cultural environment.
