El papel fundamental de abuelos y abuelas en la construcción de la identidad infantil desde la perspectiva de las familias.

Abstract

Abuelos y abuelas desempeñan un rol fundamental en la vida de sus nietos, ya que no solo aportan amor y afecto, sino también una rica herencia cultural y valores que son esenciales para la formación de su identidad. Este trabajo pone de relieve la importancia de estas relaciones intergeneracionales, especialmente en la etapa de Educación Infantil, donde los vínculos familiares juegan un papel crucial en el desarrollo emocional y social de los más pequeños. Para realizar esta investigación, en un centro escolar de la Región de Murcia, se buscó comprender la percepción que tienen tanto las familias sobre la influencia que ejercen los abuelos en la identidad de sus nietos. Para ello, se utilizó un cuestionario ad hoc que nos ayudó a obtener una visión clara, a través de un estudio cuantitativo y descriptivo sobre este tema, facilitando las opiniones de las familias participantes. Los hallazgos indican que los niños disfrutan del tiempo que pasan con sus abuelos, quienes son considerados figuras afectivas significativas. En conclusión, la investigación resalta la necesidad de fomentar y valorizar las relaciones entre abuelos y nietos en el ámbito familiar, reconociendo su impacto positivo en la formación de la identidad personal de los niños. Este tipo de interacciones no solo enriquece la experiencia infantil, sino que también fortalece los lazos familiares y la transmisión de valores a las nuevas generaciones.

Abstract: Grandfathers and grandmothers play a fundamental role in the lives of their grandchildren, since they not only provide love and affection, but also a rich cultural heritage and values that are essential for the formation of their identity. This work highlights the importance of these intergenerational relationships, especially in the Early Childhood Education stage, where family ties play a crucial role in the emotional and social development of the little ones. To carry out this research, in a school in the Region of Murcia, we sought to understand the perception that families have about the influence that grandparents exert on the identity of their grandchildren. To do this, an ad hoc questionnaire was used that helped us obtain a clear vision, through a quantitative and descriptive study on this topic, facilitating the opinions of the participating families. The findings indicate that children enjoy the time they spend with their grandparents, who are considered significant emotional figures. In conclusion, the research highlights the need to promote and value relationships between grandparents and grandchildren in the family environment, recognizing their positive impact on the formation of children's personal identity. This type of interactions not only enriches the child's experience, but also strengthens family ties and the transmission of values to new generations.
