La Nueva Teoría del lenguaje de N. Ia. Marr. Retos y Nuevos Enfoques.

Abstract

El artículo arroja nueva luz sobre algunos fragmentos de la “Nueva Teoría del Lenguaje” elaborada por N. Ia. Marr. Se consideran aspectos de esta teoría como es el caso de la tesis implícita sobre ciertas correlaciones de formas y significados en los signos lingüísticos, así como postulados sobre la evolución del lenguaje y de las lenguas en relación con sus formas y semántica. Esto permite, por un lado, subrayar la correspondencia de la “Nueva Teoría del Lenguaje” con el air du temps de su época y, por otro, explicar algunos fragmentos de la teoría de Marr que a primera vista parecen contradictorios e incluso absurdos.

The article sheds new light on a selection of fragments of N. Ja. Marr’s “New Theory of Language”. The excerpts of Marr’s theory analysed here are considered to contain the author’s implicit thesis about certain correlations between forms and meanings in linguistic signs, as well as postulates about the evolution of language and languages in relation to their forms and semantics. On the one hand, this paper emphasizes the degree to which “New Theory of Language” corresponds to the air du temps of its time; on the other hand, the study explains a selection of fragments of Marr’s theory that at first glance seem contradictory and even absurd.
