Propuesta de investigación sobre la formación del voluntariado deportivo universitario

Abstract

Universities must be understood as part of the social context, since their framework for action and functioning is developed within the environment itself. The reality of university volunteer services contributes resources for the benefit of society, so that universities, through volunteering, play a vitally important role in the current situation. The main objective of this proposal is to extend the existing research on the conditions and structural characteristics of university volunteering services that promote social inclusion and sports volunteering among other areas. In the light of the above, a multilevel model for the analysis of university volunteering is used as a starting point. The multi-level model takes into account the context of the universities themselves (macro level), the characteristics of the volunteering and sport services (meso level) and the individual characteristics of volunteering (micro level). Currently, there is a diverse organisation of volunteering structures in Spain which, on the one hand, is concerned with the promotion of social inclusion and, on the other hand, with the university sports movement. Most of the existing research on volunteering is linked to the non-university European context. The expected results will provide very important information for the management and organisation of future volunteering programmes, both in the university environment and in existing volunteer organisations outside the university community, in activities, clubs and sporting events, regardless of their size (small to large events), as well as in other types of volunteering, such as social, environmental, socio-sanitary or civil protection, which can be carried out at a national or international level.

Las universidades deben entenderse como parte del contexto social, ya que su marco de actuación y funcionamiento se desarrolla dentro del propio entorno. La realidad de los servicios de voluntariado de las universidades contribuye aportando recursos en beneficio de la sociedad, por lo que las universidades, a través del voluntariado juegan un papel de vital importancia en la situación actual. El principal objetivo de esta propuesta es ampliar las investigaciones existentes en relación a las condiciones y características estructurales de los servicios de voluntariado universitarios que promueven la inclusión social y el voluntariado deportivo entre otros ámbitos. A la luz de lo anterior, se parte de un modelo multinivel para el análisis del voluntariado universitario. El modelo multinivel tiene en cuenta el contexto de las propias universidades (nivel macro), las características de los servicios de voluntariado y deporte (nivel meso) y las características individuales del voluntariado (nivel micro). Actualmente existe una organización diversa sobre las estructuras del voluntariado en España, el cual atiende, por un lado, a la promoción de la inclusión social y, por otro al movimiento deportivo de la universidad. La mayoría de investigaciones existentes sobre el voluntariado se vinculan al contexto europeo no universitario. Los resultados previstos van a permitir ofrecer una información muy importante para la gestión y organización de futuros programas de voluntariado, tanto en el ámbito universitario como en las entidades de voluntariado existentes fuera de la comunidad universitaria, en actividades, clubes y eventos deportivos, independientemente de la dimensión de los mismos (pequeño a gran evento), así como en voluntariado de otras tipologías como el social, ambiental, sociosanitario o protección civil, que se puedan realizar a nivel nacional o internacional.
