Inteligencia artificial como recurso docente en un colegio rural agrupado

Abstract

La educación se ve afectada por los constantes cambios en la sociedad. La irrupción de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) en este ámbito supone nuevos desafíos. Desde la disciplina de la Tecnología Educativa se debe trabajar para integrar de manera eficaz y ética el uso de la IA en el campo de la educación. Este artículo presenta un estudio de caso sobre el uso de la IA como recurso docente en un colegio rural agrupado (CRA). El objetivo es explorar cómo diferentes herramientas de IA pueden apoyar a un maestro que trabaja en un CRA en sus labores docentes habituales ofreciendo el análisis de una experiencia concreta de un docente que trabaja en uno de estos centros en la provincia de Albacete. Para ello, tras la planificación del curso académico 2023-2024 y el inicio del primer trimestre utilizando IA se realizó una entrevista semiestructurada al maestro, en la que se le preguntó sobre su experiencia con la IA, los beneficios y los desafíos que encontró, y su percepción sobre el impacto de la IA en su práctica docente y en el aprendizaje de sus estudiantes. Los resultados muestran que la IA puede ser una herramienta valiosa para el maestro, al facilitar la planificación, la enseñanza, la evaluación y creación de recursos educativos. Sin embargo, también se identifican algunas limitaciones y dificultades, como la falta de formación, la dependencia de la conectividad, la adaptación a las características rurales y la siempre necesaria intervención humana.

Education is affected by the constant changes in society. The irruption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in this field poses new challenges. From the discipline of Educational Technology, work must be done to integrate the use of AI effectively and ethically in the field of education. This article presents a case study on the use of AI as a teaching resource in a rural clustered school (CRA). The aim is to explore how different AI tools can support a teacher working in a CRA in his regular teaching tasks by offering the analysis of a concrete experience of a teacher working in one of these centers in the province of Albacete. For this purpose, after the planning of the academic year 2023-2024 and the beginning of the first term using AI, asemi-structured interview was conducted with the teacher, in which he was asked about his experience with AI, the benefits and challenges he encountered, and his perception of the impact of AI on his teaching practice and on his students' learning. The results show that AI can be a valuable tool for the teacher, facilitating planning, teaching, assessment, and creation of educational resources. However, some limitations and difficulties are also identified, such as lack of training, dependence on connectivity, adaptation to rural characteristics and the need for human intervention.
