Abstract

El presente artículo aborda el estudio de las dos monografías esenciales de Baquero Goyanes sobre el cuento español decimonónico. Significativamente situadas en el inicio y final de su trayectoria investigadora, ambas resultan reveladores testimonios del magisterio alcanzado por el autor en el ámbito del cuento, tanto desde la perspectiva histórica como desde la teórica y crítica.

This article studies the two essential monographic works of Baquero Goyanes on the Spanish short story in the 19th century. Meaningfully occurring at the beginning and end of his researching career, both monographs have become outstanding items in the mastery of the autor regarding the short story, not only from a historical point of view but also from the theory and literary criticism.
