La construcción textual y referencial del cuento: la lingüística textual, la retórica cultural y la teoría del profesor Mariano Baquero Goyanes. Una aproximación a "El espejo y la máscara" de Jorge Luis Borges.

Abstract

El propósito de nuestro trabajo es investigar el papel del texto y del referente en la formación del discurso literario desde la perspectiva, en una dimensión textual, de la Retórica cultural y los planteamientos de Mariano Baquero Goyanes. Así pues, nuestro artículo consta de tres partes: después de una introducción, en la primera parte comentamos brevemente las peculiaridades básicas del género narrativo, a lo cual sigue la caracterización del subgénero cuento realizada magistralmente por Mariano Baquero Goyanes, sin perder de vista la función del referente en la construcción de la tensión narrativa mediante la construcción de diferentes modelos de mundos. En la segunda parte describimos la relación entre referente y texto en el cuento de Jorge Luis Borges El espejo y la máscara revelando las estructuras semántico-extensionales y su integración en el ámbito textual manifestada en la microestructura del cuento. En la tercera parte ofrecemos las conclusiones de este trabajo.

The purpose of our paper is to investigate the role of text and referent in the formation of literary discourse from the perspective, inside a textual dimension, of Cultural rhetoric and the proposals by Mariano Baquero Goyanes. Thus, our article consists of three parts: after an introduction, in the first part we briefly comment on the basic peculiarities of the narrative genre, followed by the characterization of the subgenre of short story masterfully carried out by Mariano Baquero Goyanes, without losing sight of the role of the referent in the construction of narrative stress through the construction of different models of worlds. In the second part we describe the relationship between referent and text in Jorge Luis Borges’ short story El espejo y la máscara, revealing the extensional-semantic structures and their integration in the textual realm manifested in the microstructure of the story. In the third part we offer the conclusions of this work.
