Análisis fílmico de ¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto!: Melodrama y cuestión femenina en el cine de Pedro Almodóvar

Abstract

El presente trabajo de fin de grado, perteneciente al Grado en Comunicación Audiovisual, tiene como objeto principal el estudio y la reflexión del cine de Pedro Almodóvar desde su perspectiva más melodramática y femenina. Así pues, se realiza en las consecutivas páginas un estudio exhaustivo sobre su cine y se genera un marco teórico que engloba influencias, corrientes, características y contextos para permitir al lector comprender mejor el análisis fílmico que continúa después: el de su cuarto largometraje; ¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto! (Almodóvar, 1994). Se busca, pues, con la elección de esta película concreta ejemplificar, justificar y sobre todo hablar de lo expuesto anteriormente: del importante papel de la mujer en su cinematografía, del reciclaje de conflictos, o de la forma en la que reintroduce y renueva el melodrama en el ideario español. A tal fin, se realiza un análisis pormenorizado sobre las características no solo de los aspectos formales del relato sino también de la cinta en sí misma. Sobre cómo este consagrado cineasta logra a través del papel, pero también de la cámara, contar lo que cuenta como lo hace.

The main purpose of this final degree project, which is part of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, is to study and reflect on the cinema of Pedro Almodóvar from his most melodramatic and feminine perspective. Thus, in the following pages, an exhaustive study of his cinema is carried out and a theoretical framework is generated encompassing influences, currents, characteristics or contexts that will allow the reader to better understand the film analysis that follows: his fourth feature film, What have I done to deserve this? (¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto!, Almodóvar, 1994). The aim of choosing this specific film is therefore to exemplify, justify and, above all, to talk about the above: the important role of women in his cinematography, the recycling of conflicts, or the way in which he reintroduces and renews melodrama in the Spanish film. To this end, a detailed analysis of the characteristics not only of the formal aspects of the story but also of the film itself is made. On how this acclaimed filmmaker manages through paper, but also through the camera, to tell what he tells the way he does it.
