Alzheimer y música : el último recuerdo

Abstract

El alzhéimer es una enfermedad que fue descrita hace más de cien años, pero a pesar del paso de los años todavía no se ha encontrado la causa exacta por la cual aparece dicha enfermedad, y por tanto, tampoco ha sido encontrado el medicamento que la cure. Uno de los factores que influyen al impedimento de encontrar una cura es la falta de inversión en ciencia, especialmente en investigación. No obstante, hoy en día hay terapias que intentan ralentizar el desarrollo de la enfermedad. Por otro lado, un factor importante para el paciente a lo largo del desarrollo de la enfermedad es el apoyo y sentir el cariño por parte de la familia. Con el trabajo pretendo aprender sobre la enfermedad y dar voz a la ciencia, la musicoterapia y a la familia, es decir, mostrar un pequeño porcentaje de lo que es la enfermedad.

Alzheimer is a disease that was described hundred years ago, but despite the passage of years the exact cause for which disease appears has not yet been found, and therefore, the medicine that cures it has not been found. One of the factors influencing the impediment to finding a cure is the lack of investment in science, especially research. However, today there are some therapies that try to slow the development of the disease. On the other hand, an important factor for the patient throughout the illness is the support and feeling of affection on the part of the family. With this work I have tried to learn about alzheimer and give voice to science, music therapy and the family, that is, show a small percentage of what it is.
