La plegaria polifónica en “Oración por Marilyn Monroe” de Ernesto Cardenal.

Abstract

En este artículo se pretende revelar el funcionamiento del circuito comunicativo que subyace en “Oración por Marilyn Monroe” del poeta nicaragüense Ernesto Cardenal; pues estamos ante la presencia de un texto, al modo de una plegaria, de compleja y rica polifonía. Por ello, con el afán de mostrar la variedad de aristas enunciativas que constituyen este poema, realizamos una lectura minuciosa de la participación de los interlocutores y observamos cómo estos configuran un genuino diálogo no solo con Dios, sino, principalmente, con el auditorio humano. En este propósito analítico, nos apoyamos en las nociones teóricas que se ocupan del discurso como la polifonía, la intertextualidad y la elocución del ethos y el pathos.

This article aims to reveal the functioning of the communicative circuit that underlies “Prayer for Marilyn Monroe” by the Nicaraguan poet Ernesto Cardenal; because we are in the presence of a text, in the manner of a prayer, of complex and rich polyphony. Therefore, with the aim of showing the variety of enunciative edges that constitute this poem, we made a careful reading of the participation of the interlocutors and we observed how they configure a genuine dialogue not only with God, but, mainly, with the human audience. For this analytical purpose, we do not rely on theoretical notions that deal with discourse such as polyphony, intertextuality, and elocution of ethos and pathos.
