Proyectos de aprendizaje- servicio (ApS) a través de una plataforma web para la mejor adquisición de competencias en el grado en Bellas Artes

Abstract

La metodología del Aprendizaje Servicio (ApS) avanza lenta pero inexorablemente hacia su institucionalización entre las diferentes áreas dentro de la educación superior en España. Esta metodología de enseñanza-aprendizaje se ha demostrado eficiente y ventajosa para con los docentes, estudiantes e instituciones sin ánimo de lucro, pero sobre todo en la adquisición de habilidades y capacidades relacionadas con las competencias por parte del alumnado. Aplicar el ApS en el campo de las artes, y más concretamente en los estudios superiores de Bellas Artes (BBAA) es sumamente positivo para el alumnado y para ello en esta tesis se ha realizado una prueba piloto en una asignatura de 4º curso del Grado en BBAA de la Universidad de Murcia (UMU), durante los cursos 2016/2017 y 2017/2018. Así, este trabajo tiene como objetivos generales realizar un estudio sobre la adquisición de habilidades y capacidades relacionadas con las competencias a través de la metodología del ApS en la Educación Superior en España, comprender el desarrollo del ApS en la asignatura 'Concepto, pensamiento y discurso del arte' (CPDA) del Grado de BBAA de la UMU, y diseñar, planificar y desarrollar una plataforma virtual que facilite la implantación e integración del ApS en los estudios del Grado de BBAA. Posteriormente se plantea describir las características de las experiencias de ApS desarrolladas por los estudiantes del Grado de BBAA de la UMU, así como llevar a cabo un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo sobre dichas experiencias. El estudio cuantitativo se realizó a través de un pretest-postest con el que se trató de cubrir el objetivo de analizar los resultados sobre la adquisición de habilidades y capacidades relacionadas con las competencias del alumnado participante en las experiencias de ApS. El objetivo de conocer la percepción sobre el ApS del alumnado participante en los proyectos se completó mediante la parte del estudio cualitativo el cual constó de una encuesta tras la realización de la práctica de ApS. Los resultados obtenidos indican que el ApS es una metodología idónea para desarrollarse en los estudios de BBAA y que las prácticas con esta metodología han tenido una gran aceptación entre el alumnado. Se concluye que a través de la asignatura CPDA del Grado de BBAA de la UMU las prácticas de ApS han resultado beneficiosas para el alumnado en lo que a la adquisición de habilidades y capacidades relacionadas con las competencias se refiere y que la mayoría de éstos repetiría. Además, se ha creado una plataforma web para la gestión de las prácticas de ApS aunque no ha resultado determinante debido a la incompleta institucionalización del ApS y la falta de más y mejores recursos materiales para la creación de la misma.

Service Learning (S-L) methodology advances slowly but inexorably towards its institutionalization among the different areas within higher education in Spain. This teaching-learning methodology has been shown to be efficient and advantageous for teachers, students and non-profit institutions, standing out by its efficiency in improving the acquisition of capabilities by students. Applying S-L in the field of the arts, and more specifically in higher studies of fine arts, can be extremely positive for students and, accordingly, within this thesis a pilot test was carried out taking a subject of the 4th year of the Degree in Fine Arts of the University of Murcia (UMU), during the 2016/17 and 2017/18 academic years. The general objectives of this work can be summarized as: i) to carry out a study on skill acquisition through S-L methodology in higher education in Spain; ii) to understand the development of S-L in the subject 'Concept, thought and discourse of art' of the Degree of Fine Arts of the UMU; and iii) to design, plan and develop a virtual platform that facilitates the implementation and integration of S-L in the studies of the Degree in Fine Arts of the UMU. Subsequently, it is proposed to describe the characteristics of the S-L experiences developed by the students of the Degree of Fine Arts of the UMU, as well as to carry out a qualitative and quantitative analysis on these mentioned experiences. The quantitative study was carried out through a pretest-posttest, trying to cover the objective of analyzing the results on the acquisition of capabilities by the students participating in the S-L experiences. The objective of knowing the perception that the students participating in the projects had on this S-L experience was achieved through a qualitative study which consisted of a survey after the S-L practice. The results obtained indicated that S-L is an ideal methodology to be developed in fine arts studies, and that practices with this methodology have had a great acceptance among the students.

Our results on the study carried out on the subject 'Concept, thought and discourse of art' of the Degree of Fine Arts of the UMU, allowed to conclude that S-L practices are beneficial for the students in terms of the acquisition of capabilities, and that most of them express their intention to repeat the experience. Finally, a web platform has been created for the management of S-L practices, although it did not have a strong impact on this work due to the incomplete institutionalization of S-L and the lack of more and better material resources for its creation.
