Resumen: | El objetivo de la investigación fue analizar la situación de los guías de turismo frente a la presencia de la pandemia covid-19 en Latinoamérica, de manera particular en Colombia, Ecuador, México, Costa Rica y Perú. El estudio se llevó a cabo mediante el método exploratorio no experimental con enfoque mixto, mediante el empleo de tres instrumentos de investigación: el foro virtual, que permitió identificar la visión de los guías frente a la pandemia; la encuesta, validada por el estadístico Alpha de Cronbach, dirigida a guías de turismo pertenecientes a federaciones y asociaciones oficiales; y la entrevista aplicada a representantes claves de los países involucrados en el estudio. Los resultados son presentados en cuatro dimensiones: situación laboral; seguridad laboral; asociatividad y pronóstico de futuro, donde se destacan la crisis económica, emocional y psicológica que atravesaron los guías de turismo por causa de la pandemia. The objective of the research was to analyze the situ ation of tour guides in Latin America, particularly in Colombia, Ecuador, México, Costa Rica and Peru, in relation to the presence of the covid-19 pandemic. The study was carried out by means of the non - experimental exploratory method with a mixed approach , using three research instruments: the virtual forum, which made i t possible to identify the vision of the guides regarding the pandemic; the survey, validated by Cronbach's Alpha statistic, directed at tourist guides belonging to federations and official associations; and the interview applied to key representatives of the countries involved in the study. The results are presented in four dimensions: work situation; job security; associativity and future prognosis, highlighting the economic, emotional and psychological crisis that tourist guides went through due to the pandemic. |
