Por una semiótica materialista. Las teorías fundantes de Volóshinov y Pêcheux

Abstract

La obra de Karl Marx permite la vinculación entre el materialismo (histórico) y la semiótica (discursiva). Sin embargo, son pocos los estudios que han abordado la faceta criptosemiótica del filósofo (Ponzio, 2020), que entendía a las mercancías como signo y al dinero como símbolo. En este trabajo proponemos el abordaje de dos teorías fundantes para la constitución de una semiótica materialista, nos referimos a la obra de Valentín Volóshinov y Michel Pêcheux, que, si bien difieren entre sí y se sitúan en contextos diversos, son significativas para continuar las investigaciones sobre el capitalismo en tanto operador semiótico. En primera instancia, esta investigación reflexiona sobre algunas de las ideas que planteó Marx sobre los signos en el capitalismo, para luego centrarse en las teorías de Volóshinov y Pêcheux; finalmente, el objetivo será mostrar las convergencias y divergencias significativas que existen entre los autores.

The work of Karl Marx allows the link between materialism (historical) and semiotics (discursive). However, few studies have addressed the cryptosemiotic facet of the philosopher (Ponzio, 2020), who understood goods as a sign and money as a symbol. In this paper we propose the approach of two founding theories for the constitution of a materialistic semiotics, we refer to the work of Valentín Volóshinov and Michel Pêcheux, which although they differ from each other and are located in different contexts, are significant for continuing research on capitalism as a semiotic operator. In the first instance, this research reflects on some of Marx’s ideas on signs in capitalism, and then focuses on the theories of Volóshinov and Pêcheux; Finally, the objective will be to show the significant convergences and divergences that exist between the authors
