Los modelos de representación de la figura femenina en el cine español de la década de los noventa : apuntes sobre el nuevo realismo social español

Abstract

El trabajo plantea la necesidad de abordar estudios que determinen los roles femeninos y la construcción de su imagen a través del medio cinematográfico y de ciertas producciones realizadas en torno al cambio de siglo en España. Bajo la etiqueta de Nuevo Realismo Social surgieron, en la década de los noventa, una serie de realizadores y planteamientos que suplieron la necesidad de retratar a la mujer en aquellos mundos más desfavorecidos y marginales a los que la sociedad daba la espalda, deslizando su posicionamiento pasivo más allá de la construcción cultural tradicional. Así, el texto pone de manifiesto y analiza cuestiones significativas como la inmigración, la violencia, la prostitución, las adiciones o la pobreza y el reflejo que han tenido en el ámbito fílmico. Se pretende, de este modo, categorizar los roles de género impuestos a la mujer en el cine español de esa época y, a partir de esa circunstancia, trazar una estrategia que profundice en la estética y en las claves fundamentales de estos títulos seleccionados, definiendo los modos de representación.

This work raises the need to address studies that determine the female roles and the construction of their image through the cinematographic medium and certain productions made around the turn of the century in Spain. Under the label of New Social Realism, a series of filmmakers and approaches emerged in the 1990s that met the need to portray women in those most disadvantaged and marginal worlds to which society turned its back, shifting their position passive beyond the traditional cultural construction. Thus, the text reveals and analyzes significant issues such as immigration, violence, prostitution, additions or poverty and the reflection they have had in the film field.
