Abstract
El presente trabajo se centra en el Convenio bilateral de doble nacionalidad celebrado entre España y Francia, en vigor desde el 1 de abril de 2022, con el objeto de precisar el alcance de su relevancia en el contexto del ordenamiento español. La transcendencia de esta delimitación tiene una doble vertiente. Por una parte, como base que sustenta la celebración de este acuerdo y, por otra, porque la respuesta permite valorar si la vía convencional, a través de la ampliación de nuestra red de tratados bilaterales de doble nacionalidad, es el camino por el que ha de discurrir el reconocimiento de la doble nacionalidad en nuestro ordenamiento. -----------
The aim of this paper is to asses the dual nationality bilateral agreement between Spain and France, in force since April 1st, 2022, with the aim of specifying the extent of its relevance in the context of the Spanish legal order. The importance of this delimitation is twofold. It serves, on the one hand, as a base for the conclusion of this agreement. On the other, because the answer to this question allows to evaluate whether this sort of agreements, i.e. the extension of our dual nationality bilateral treaties network, are the way through which dual nationalities should be recognized in our legal order.
