Existence as lived and contem plated in and from maternity in Bonnettian poetry returns a desacralized image of itself because of life being understood as a sinister gift that combines the mother ́s fateful destiny with that of her offspring. It will be an inwardly li ved maternity which, silent as it may be, burst into the poem as groundwork for rebellion. The maternal womb is the lost paradise where beginning and end are susceptible to being con - fused, it is the dominant image in some of the Colombian writer ́s most re presentative poems.
