Description
Abstract
The influence that politics have been exerting on literary creation, and vice versa, can be seen thorough the history in varied forms. In this work, we underline the literary movement that more clearly demonstrates the close relationship that can be built between the politics discourse and the literary discourse. That is the genre of utopia. From Antiquity to nowadays, authors have used this form of literature as a vehicle for reflection on politics, moral, social and ethics values. Therefore, our study gives below a short summary about the history of the genre, its characteristics and a reading of one of the most emblematic texts (Utopia, by Tomas Moro), in a way that the interrelationship literature-politics will be clearly defined.
