Description
Abstract
In «Essay on aesthetics as a prologue» (1914) Ortega writes about the ability of art to show the being executive of things. He opposes it to the limitations of knowledge that uses the concept (being objective of idealism). As a premise, he writes briefly on a metaphysics of «I» as intimacy. A thesis that only he retrieves in his course «Life as execution» (1929), when he uses again the being executive for his ontology (for understanding «my life»). However, we can think about a longer path to the propose of the being executive (although Ortega does not use the term). Because its central role in the narrative reason (a concrete methodological of his historical reason, especially with the biography).
