Abstract
Influenciada por la reproducción de los estereotipos sexistas en las distintas instituciones
sociales y por la misma dinámica general de la sociedad, la mujer sigue sufriendo
un estado de desigualdad con respecto al hombre, empobreciéndose la realización
de ambas como personas. El sexismo se ha ido descubriendo de manera especial
en el sistema educativo. Se trata de un fenómeno todavía no superado a pesar del
desarrollo de la escuela mixta posibilitada por la Ley General de Educación de 1970.
Diversas investigaciones han ido demostrándolo. En España destacará la realizada
por Marina SUBIRATS y Cristina BRULLET. El Plan para la Reforma del Sistema
Educativo permite un marco donde puede generarse el desarrollo de una auténtica
igualdad de oportunidades, pero conviene reflexionar también sobre sus deficiencias.
Women nowdays still suffer an inequality condition with respect to men, consequently the fulfilment of both as individuals becomes poorer. This is caused by the influence of the reproduction of the sexist stereotypes in the different social institutions and also by the general system of the society itself. Sexism has been univeiled in the educational system in a special way. It is a phenomenon which has not been over-come yet in spite of the evolution of mixed schools, facilitated by the General Educational Law of 1970. Various investigations have proved so. Marina SUBIRATS and Cristina BRULLET will stand out in Spain. The Plan for the Reform of the Educational System enables a margin where the development of an authentic equality of opportunities can be generated, but it is wise to reflect on its deficiencies.
