Abstract
El Concilio de Elvira ha sido un tema muy debatido desde diversas líneas de investigación, como la historia eclesiástica o la teología. Sin embargo, todavía hoy siguen existiendo múltiples vacíos y recovecos en los que la historiografía sobre el cristianismo primitivo no se pone de acuerdo. Por ejemplo, la datación del Concilio, sus integrantes, o, incluso, su posible existencia. En esta disertación me propongo a realizar una introducción sobre la fuente en sí misma y a comentar algunos cánones importantes para el estudio de la extracción social, la moral o la disciplina eclesiástica, que pueden servir para dar a conocer a un público mayor el valor de la fuente.
The Synod of Elvira has been a topic very debated since differents lines of research, like the ecclesiastic history or the theology. However, still today there are a lot of gaps and nocks where the historiography, that studies the primitive christianity, does not agree. For example, the dating of the council, the members, or, also, his possible existence. In thisdissertation I want to make an introduction in the source and comment some importants canons for the study of the social extraction, the moral and the ecclesiastical discipline, that might be useful to publicize the source to a larger audience.
