Abstract
The monastery of San Ginés de la Jara besides attracted parties that established the City ofCartagena, many private foundations, and to celebrate Mass in their church or in their demands forburial vaults, which were increased along the second half of the seventeenth century and throughoutthe eighteenth. Among the many founders were the inhabitants of Cartagena field, especially theprovincial and parties closest to Mar Menor.
