dc.description.abstractEntre el 21 y el 22 de septiembre de 1983, el centro neurálgico de la ciudad de Buenos Aires fue testigo de uno de los acontecimientos más singulares de la historia reciente de la Argentina. En el seno de los grupos que por entonces reclamaban la ‘aparición con vida de las personas detenidas-desaparecidas’ por la violencia estatal, tuvo lugar lo que se conoce como el Siluetazo, una acción colectiva, un gesto y una imagen multiplicada que requería el cuerpo y hacía sensible la compleja imbricación entre estética y política, memoria e imaginación. Este artículo propone releer aquella experiencia desde tres conceptos vertebrales: el de distancia, en la medida en que la elaboración de las siluetas desvelaba una brecha dialéctica entre la distancia que precisa cualquier ejercicio crítico y la premura de una interpelación inmediata; el de aura, que estas figuras sin rostro revelaban como una noción más cercana a las operaciones de la memoria y a la experiencia del límite que a lo auténtico o irrepetible; y el de eficacia, ya que las imágenes se insertaban en un contexto de urgencias políticas determinadas.es
dc.description.abstractBetween September 21 and 22, 1983, the center of the city of Buenos Aires witnessed one of the most singular events in the recent history of Argentina. The Siluetazo, a collective action, a gesture and a multiplied image that required the body and linked aesthetics and politics, memory and imagination, took place within the groups that were demanding the “appearance alive of detained-disappeared people” by state violence. This article proposes to re-read that experience based on three concepts that, as we propose, form it: that of distance, insofar as the silhouettes revealed a dialectic fissure between the distance required by any critical exercise and the need for an immediate interpellation; that of aura, which these faceless figures revealed as a notion closer to the operations of memory and the experience of the limit than to the authentic or unrepeatable; and that of effectiveness, since the use of these images were inserted in a context of questions about what we ask and what they are willing to give us.es
