Description
Abstract
In the present review, we report on the data
obtained on the most prominent elements observed in
the interchromatin spaces: the interchromatin granules
(IGs). Special emphasis is placed on the recent
contributions of immunocytochemical and in situ
hybridization methods towards elucidating the
composition and the behavior of these nuclear
substructures during the cell cycle. The possible roles of
IGs in the cell nucleus are also discussed.
