dc.description.abstract	Resumen: Lo esencial de este estudio se centra en Maryse Condé y en la interacción entre su trabajo y su isla, donde se siente en prisión, con unos padres snobs que la alejan de cualquier contacto con los demás niños del vecindario y la separan de sus raíces. Ella insiste en el papel ausente de los padres y reconsidera lo que ha sido la autoridad paterna hasta ahora. Se afirma como la autora de su padre, no como de su trabajo. Describe en particular la tensión entre ella y su madre que se reduce a un estatus sin transcendencia. Esta tensión de la relación hija/madre continúa a lo largo de la genealogía de las mujeres de su linaje. Remedia esta falta de identidad creando un idioma propio, una mezcla de francés, inglés, criollo y lenguas africanas que se convierte en su territorio, en su tierra. Todo esto propicia su apertura a otras culturas y la convicción de que cada persona es diferente de la otra.	es
dc.description.abstract	Abstract: This article by Maryse Condé focuses most-ly on the interaction between her life and her work, a sort of disguised autobiography. Condé analyzes her relationship to her island where she felt imprisoned, to her snobby parents who prevented her from having any contact with other children in the neighborhood and cut her off from her roots. She insists on the absent role of the fathers and tackles the very common bastardy in the Antilles. She ponders upon what has been established as a reference so far. She asserts herself as her father’s author and not as his piece of work. She describes in particular the tension between her and her mother reduced to an insignificant status. This tensed daughter/mother relationship continues throughout the genealogy of the women of her line. She deals with this lack of identity by creating a language of her own, a mixture of French, English, Creole and African languages which becomes her territory, her land. This gives proof of her openness to other cultures and her conviction that everyone is different from the other. She defends individuality over community	en_EN
