Boaventura de Sousa Santos designa como cosmopolitismo subalterno. La posición de Santos se inscribe en la
Teoría crítica y una amplia tradición de izquierda social, no obstante, nos hemos propuesto comunicar su
propuesta con un contexto diferente, por lo que la enmarcamos en la tradición cosmopolita, buscando
isomorfismos entre su teoría y la inspiración liberal –ilustrada por la posición del filósofo alemán Thomas W.
Pogge–, que permitan un trabajo, a futuro, de traducción entre tradiciones.
Abstract In this paper we present some basic principles of the critical platform that the Portuguese author Boaventura de Sousa Santos designates as subaltern cosmopolitanism. Santos's position is part of Critical Theory and a long tradition of social left, however, we intend to communicate its proposal with a different context, for that we framed it in the cosmopolitan tradition, looking for isomorphisms between his theory and the liberal inspiration – illustrated by the position of the German philosopher Thomas W. Pogge, to allow a future work of translation between traditions.
