dc.description.abstractLos libros y los documentos se deterioran por diversos motivos, tanto de orden interno (papeles, tintas, pieles, etc.) como de orden externo (ambiente, manipulación, almacenamiento). La mejor forma de combatir este deterioro es tratar de frenarlo o detenerlo mediante una serie de trabajos pasivos (conservación), o bien mediante la restauración, que son los tratamientos llevados a cabo en el libro o documento para devolverle, siempre hasta cierto grado, su estado original. Este artículo intenta dar una idea general de los pasos técnicos seguidos para la recuperación del libro "Oficio de Semana Santa".en_EN
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT: : Books and documents get damaged because of several reasons, which can be intrinsec (paper quality, ink, leather, etc.) or external (environment, handling, storage). The best way to prevent this deterioration is by trying to slow it down or even to stop it through several passive jobs (preservation), or else through their restoration, which means applying a treatment to a book or document in order to return it to its original state. This article is an attempt to present a general overview of the steps followed to repair the book "Oficio de Semana Santa".
